“It was New Years Eve this past year and we typically spend every major holiday celebrating at his parents house with a large group of family and our close friends. Just after dinner, Jose asked me to walk down to the lake with him so we could look at the holiday lights and steal a few minutes before the festivities began. Once we got down to the dock, he started reflecting on this past year (which was not out of the norm – he is always very thoughtful and romantic)…from this point on things get a little blurry, but he asked me how many more New Years Eves I would have with him and I blurted out ‘All of Them.’ Then, he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. He had timed it for 8:15pm – our dating anniversary is 8/15, so all of his family came out to the deck and there were fireworks and champagne!”

I couldn’t help but share Melissa and Jose’s proposal story. It is just a glimpse of the sweetness of their relationship. The night before their wedding, during the rehearsal dinner, Jose had the idea of recreating the proposal moment at the same place they became engaged 10 months before. The result was precious.
It was so much fun getting to know this couple and their lovely family and friends. The day of their wedding was beautiful, sunny with just a few clouds, and bursting with genuine happiness. The ceremony and reception took place at the gorgeous Bailey Spring Venue. I couldn’t get enough of the location, hand-made details and flower arrangements.
Melissa and Jose, thank you for the opportunity to be a part of your wedding day. It was a reflection of the love between you and a beautiful start to this next adventure in your life! Best wishes!
