The day of David and Claudia’s session it was forecasted to rain the majority of the day at Raven’s Roost in the Blue Ridge Mountains where these portraits took place. There was a *SLIVER* of partial sun predicted around sunset. We had debated on rescheduling the session but we were nearing the end of peak foliage season in Virginia and I was afraid the colors would disappear if we waited much longer. We decided to risk it and drove the two hours from Fredericksburg just hoping the rain would disappear in time for a golden hour sunset. And MAN, that partial sun sliver did not disappoint!! The clouds parted just in time to create the most magical glow and the result was beyond STUNNING.
These engagement portraits are some of my favorite to date and even more special as the groom-to-be is actually my husband’s brother! I’ve known David since he was 12 years old and having the honor of capturing the love between him and his soon to be wife was so sweet. They are getting married in 2021 in Cancun and it is going to be epic.
